 The next regular meeting of the Tombstone City Council will be held   Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in Schieffelin Hall.  For agenda information, call (520) 457-2202.  To obtain more information about Tombstone government, go to

The deadline for submission of items for the Common Council agendas is 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the Tuesday meeting.  Regular Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month.  Items received after this deadline will be placed on the following agenda.

The Schieffelin Hall International Players (S.H.I.P.) is a non-profit performing arts organization dedicated to the interior restoration of historic Schieffelin Hall.  We will be presenting our 3rd Annual Country Cotillion on Saturday, May 27; our 2nd Annual Gunfighter’s Ball on Saturday, September 2; and Wyatt and Terry Earp in a live, original theater production on Saturday, October 21, 2006.  We also plan to present a play, using local talent, sometime during 2006.   All proceeds from these events will be used for the interior restoration of historic Schieffelin Hall.  If you are interested in joining our dedicated group, please call 457-3857 or attend our regular monthly membership meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Schieffelin Hall.  We invite all interested parties to join us!
Monthly meetings the first Wednesday of the month 6:30 p.m. at American Legion Post  225 Allen Street.
Potluck first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m..  Members bring a potluck dish or make $3 donation.  Call Sencie at 457-3749 for more information.

Area Republican Club Meetings
Tombstone Ghost Riders hosts cowboy mounted shooting practice 2nd Sunday of every month 11:00 a.m. (weather permitting).  Club potluck meeting follows at 4 p.m.  Public welcome!  New members encouraged.  Tombstone Livery Stable  (520) 457-3559.
  Republican Women's Club meets the 2nd Monday of each month at the Windemere in Sierra Vista. The luncheon meeting starts at 11:00 a.m. For lunch reservations or more information, contact Glendene Sheehan at 458-6268.

NEED A HELPING HAND?
Pearl of Venus Chapter #6 Order of Eastern Star Bisbee & Tombstone meets the first Tuesday at 89 Main St, Bisbee and the third Tuesday at 402 Fremont, Tombstone. There is a shared lunch at 1:00 p.m. and the meeting at 2:00 p.m.

Have you had an unexpected financial crisis and need help with your rent, mortgage or utility payment? The Bisbee Coalition for the Homeless (BCH) may be able to help.
Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age; be low income; not be receiving Government supported housing; not had prior emergency assistance through BCH; have a photo ID, social security card & birth certificate; have an eviction and/or disconnect notice; have a vendor agreement with contact information; have proof of income with contact information. You will need to bring photocopies of all documents with you.
Should you meet the qualifications and wish to schedule an interview, please call Anita Baca at (520) 432-7839, Monday through Friday between noon and 4 p.m. Appointments are necessary and the service is free of charge.

The WJM PTA meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the WJM cafeteria.
The Tombstone Repertory Theatre Company meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Schieffelin Hall. The meeting is open to all who want to learn more about theatre in Tombstone.

Stitches from the Heart needs volunteers to knit, crochet, or quilt blankets, little sweaters and hats for babies in need. These items are donated to hospitals all over the country. Join fellow Marines in the Tombstone “Wild West” Detachment Marine Corps League charter group.  Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at American Legion Post 24, Second and Allen Streets in Tombstone.  For more information contact Connie Shanhols at 520-533-0184 or 520-459-7998, or Bill Pakinkis 457-3511.
The 4th Annual Wings & Spurs presented by Sonrise Sport Aviation will be held Saturday, May 6th  & 7th, 2006, at the Tombstone Airport.  The event combines airplanes, music entertainment, food, drinks and fun to benefit the Tombstone Food Bank.  
Shuttle Service into Tombstone will be provided.  Activities include a Salsa Cooking contest, Dinner and the Krysis Bank at Six Gun City’s Wild Horse Saloon, entertainment by Burt Webster, the Douglas Folklorico Dancers, Johnny Rodriguez and appearance by New Tribes Mission with a special appearance by the U.S.M.C.  Entry fee is a cash donation or non-perishable food items.

BINGO AT HUACHUCA CITY LIONS CLUB
The Huachuca City Lions Club offers the general public an evening of fun playing “BINGO” every Wednesday evening. All adults are invited to attend and play Bingo in the Lions Club Den located in the long Gold painted building at 125 S. Huachuca Blvd. Doors open at 5 p.m. with Early Bird Bingo beginning at 6:15. Food and soft beverages are available.
All profits realized from Bingo go to assist non-profit organizations and individuals in need. An example is the Lions eyeglass program to assist low-income families to see better. Additional information may be had by contacting Lion Peggy Hursh at 458-2562
