The Tombstone Hawg Corral is once more
sponsoring Hawg Wild Dayz. This is an event that brings lots of
motorcycle enthusiasts to Tombstone.
This weekend, 5th Street will be closed
between Fremont and Toughnut to allow for parking of the
cycles. Also, the south side of Toughnut between 4th and 5th
Streets will be limited to motorcycle parking only. There will
be volunteers from the event who will be out to assist
participants with parking and to ensure that there is no
unnecessary noise when bikers start up or shut down their
bikes.
Casey Whitman, owner of the Hawg Corral,
has made every effort to alert the weekend’s participants
to respect Tombstone’s residents and guests. She has
alerted them that they must obey speed limits and not make any
unnecessary noise with their bikes. There will also be a
security team on hand to monitor the parking areas to ensure
both the safety of the motorcycles, participants, residents and
other tourists as well as helping to ensure that the bikes are
operated as quietly as possible.
There is also a People’s Choice Bike
Show scheduled for Saturday. Voting starts at 2 p.m. Come out
and see some of the tricked-out bikes on display and vote for
your favorite.
Proceeds from this weekend’s event
will benefit the Tombstone Small Animal Shelter. For more
information, contact the Hawg Corral at (520) 457-2374.
