“A Southwestern Spring” will
be the theme for the May 2006 membership show at the Tombstone
Association of the Arts (TAA) Gallery, located at 317 Allen
Street in Tombstone. The show runs from April 28 - May 31.
This show will feature art from 30 member
artists who live in Sierra Vista, Tombstone, Saint David,
Bisbee, McNeal, Willcox, and Cochise. Each artist will exhibit
five framed works portraying subjects in acrylics, watercolor,
oils, drawings in pencil and pastel, collage, and monoprints.
Visitors will enjoy the variety of subjects and sizes of work
that range from old West portraits and scenery to very modern
abstracts. Sizes of paintings run from tiny gems to full-sized
masterpieces. There are also lots of beautiful unframed
original works and notecards.
In the craft department, the featured
crafters for May are Betty Biederman and Patricia McAloon. Work
by the 22 crafter members includes beautiful and unique raku
pottery, charming baby blankets and quilts, wooden tole
painting, clever fabric and yarn crafts, jewelry and much more.
Visit the Tombstone Gallery to see the
work of your friends and neighbors, and check out the
reasonable prices! Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
with free admission. Call (520) 457-2380 for further
information
