4TH ANNUAL WINGS AND SPURS
On Saturday and Sunday, May 6 & 7, 2006, the 4th Annual Wings & Spurs Fly-in will be held at the Tombstone Municipal Airport on Highway 80, East of Tombstone. There will be about 50 aircraft on display as well as a Fly-in, Air-Ground Demo and static displays of a US Marine Corps AH-1W Cobra Gunship, and a UH-1 Huey courtesy of HMT-303, MAG-39 3rd Marine Air Wing, Camp Pendleton, CA and the Wild West Detachment Marine Corps League, Tombstone.
Scheduled entertainment will be the Douglas Folklorico Dancers, Doug Webster, Johnny Rodriguez, New Tribes Mission and Great Lakes Airlines. In honor of Cinco de Mayo there will be a salsa making contest open to the public with no entry fee. Bring your homemade salsa with a chance to win a prize.
The Saturday evening dinner will be at Six Gun City with music by the Krysis Band. The dinner starts at 5 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m. Dinner forms are available at Six Gun City and must be received no later than April 28th. Cost for the dinner varies.
Activities at the Tombstone Municipal Airport begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Air-ground Demo will start about 9 a.m. on Saturday only. Daytime activities conclude at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
